Najeema D. Washington is an entrepreneur, pop culture writer, blogger, and public speaker. She is a lover of live music, art, dance, books, and social media. She is a regular Mistress of Ceremonies and event hostess. Najeema considers herself the center spoke in the wheel as the founder of DC WIN, a networking league in Washington, DC aimed at making professional and social connections for urban professionals.

Professionally, Najeema is an analyst with the federal government and has specialized in defense acquisitions, procurement, performance based contracting and export controls. Her career interest lies in the intersection of law, business, and technology. She plans to obtain a JD/MBA with the plans of fulfilling her ultimate goal, which is influencing the way African Americans are portrayed in media. Najeema promotes the mantra which she crafted "It begins today. I will live in the moment, breathe, pray, and have the kind of faith that involves the action of my feet."
